this piece was done for a bit of practice. i've been working on anatomy and drawing everything out of my head for a long time now, but lately i've noticed i've begun forming habits with my characters.
so.. back to basics and hopefully back on track with a bit of life drawing (or "copying" as i like to call it). does actual life drawing (with real live people as opposed to photos) actually help you improve? surely the image your brain recieves through your eyes is the same for what your actually looking at or a photo of what your looking at? i think it's just the fact that your practicing drawing the human form. and practicing by whatever means is what makes you better.
that's my reasoning for being too lazy to got to life drawing sessions.
i used a reference from a magazine (cos she's hot and she made me want to ...erm, draw her) for the girl and added the clothes just as practice.
she took a pretty long time, but it was a relaxing change to start a picture with a clear idea of what it will end up like
